Last September Marrakech was delighted by the opening of the Museum of Moroccan Culinary Art in soft opening, waiting for it to be officially opened in October 2019.
The purpose of this museum is to promote, preserve and transmit a cuisine that is both alive and ancestral. It is located in the medina, a few steps from the Bahia Palace in a 15th century palace of 5,000m2, which remained in ruins for decades.
This new cultural and gastronomic establishment will aim to promote, preserve and transmit Moroccan cuisine as a living and ancestral cultural heritage. It will highlight its many influences: Berber, Arab-Andalusian and Jewish.
